Data in table truncated

Hi all,
Is there a way to set the cell in a table to allow the data to print
on one line by spilling into the cell to the right of it?
I currently have a table with two group headers and detail lines.
However, the text that I need to put in the group header is much
longer then the data I put in the first column in the details. So I
don't want to stretch the first column out to fit my group header,
since that would cause a lot of white space in the detail rows. Also,
I can't use the Can Grow property, since the text in the group header
is just one word.
Is there a way to work around this?
Thanks in advance.On Feb 29, 3:40=A0pm, k-chan <kitty.s...@.gmail.com> wrote:

Try selecting all the cells in the group header row then right
clicking and choosing "Merge Cells." That should let your group
header text take the room it needs without affecting the size of the
detail row columns.
